You already know my quirky sense of humor... I just can't make “ordinary” ceramics- my mind is always filled with puns, associations, and jokes ;-) This time, I created my own original memes.
This series came about spontaneously- I wanted to make a single mug with artwork inspired by famous figures from painting. In the end, I created over a dozen memes, 3 shapes and sizes of mugs/cups, and I still have new ideas ;-) Someone stop me! ;-)
The illustration depicts van Gogh and the Lady with the Ermine in couples therapy. Playing the role of the therapist, of course, is the figure from Edvard Munch’s painting "The Scream". In the center is the inscription: THE EARTH WITHOUT ART IS JUST “EH”.
